German Speech Data Annotator for AI Training

Role Overview

Apply your native German language expertise to help improve advanced AI systems. You will provide high-quality speech data, linguistic feedback, and quality evaluation that strengthen how language models understand and pronounce German.

Key Responsibilities

• Record clear, high-quality German audio samples for AI model development.
• Annotate speech data with precise linguistic and phonetic accuracy.
• Help design and carry out speech-data collection workflows.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and provide feedback to improve German language understanding and pronunciation.
• Use knowledge of German phonetics and pronunciation throughout the workflow.
• Collaborate remotely with the customer team to maintain consistent, high-quality work.
• Provide clear written and verbal insights and documentation.

Qualifications

• Native German fluency, with deep familiarity with regional accents and language nuances.
• Experience with annotation and speech-data collection processes.
• Understanding of phonetics, pronunciation, and linguistic principles.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recording audio through voice acting, audio engineering, podcasting, communications, or similar work.
• Experience with AI projects or training-data annotation tools.
• Background in linguistics, audio engineering, or a related field.
• Experience providing feedback on and assessing the quality of audio or language data.

Work Terms

• Remote independent contractor engagement.
• No previous AI experience is required. Native German speakers from a range of backgrounds are welcome.

Compensation

• $30 to $65 per hour.
