Role Overview

Help improve next-generation AI language systems by contributing native-level German expertise, high-quality speech data, and detailed linguistic feedback. This remote contract role is well suited to professionals with a keen ear for German pronunciation, regional variation, and language quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Record clear, high-quality German audio samples for AI model development.
• Annotate and transcribe speech data with precise linguistic and phonetic accuracy.
• Support the design and execution of speech data collection workflows.
• Evaluate AI-generated language outputs and provide feedback that improves German language understanding and pronunciation.
• Apply knowledge of German phonetics, pronunciation, regional accents, and linguistic nuances throughout the work.
• Collaborate remotely with the customer team to maintain consistent, high-quality results.
• Provide clear written insights and documentation, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in German, with deep familiarity with regional accents and nuances.
• Experience or proficiency in speech-data annotation and collection processes.
• Understanding of phonetics, pronunciation, and linguistic principles.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with audio recording, including voice acting, audio engineering, podcasting, or communications.
• Previous work on AI projects or with training-data annotation tools.
• Background in linguistics, audio engineering, or a related field.
• Experience assessing the quality of audio or language data and providing feedback.

Work Terms

• Remote contract position.
• No prior AI experience is required. Native German language expertise and strong language judgment are central to the role.

Compensation

• $30 to $65 per hour.
