POSITION OVERVIEW
Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager / Head Butcher to lead the daily operations of a meat processing facility in Dayton, WY.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced butcher who understands both professional meat processing and plant operations , including production, quality, food safety, staffing, and financial performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Oversee daily production, quality control, inventory, and plant operations.
• Lead, train, and manage butchers and support staff.
• Develop production schedules and ensure productivity goals are met.
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, and product quality .
• Inspect equipment and facilities for maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
• Manage supplier and vendor relationships.
• Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop budgets, manage expenses, and control operating costs.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and quality.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
• 8+ years of meat processing and professional butchering experience required.
• 10–20 years of industry experience preferred.
• Strong experience managing a meat processing or production operation.
• Proven leadership and staff-management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of butchering techniques, food safety, sanitation, and quality control .
• Experience operating meat processing equipment.
• Strong production planning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, expense management, and operational performance.
• Ability to be a hands-on leader within a fast-paced production environment.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• $75,000 annual salary.
