Job Description

Salary: $15.00 - $16.00

Cook needed

Basic Functions:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving attractive, nutritionally balanced meals for the
children. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production
and portion control using standard recipes and for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet
menu requirements. The Cook is also responsible for assisting with supervision of the children
while they learn kitchen skills; including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing
meals.

Prepare breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks for all classrooms; Serve meals to each classroom on time, at the appropriate temperature; Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all food storage areas.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of assessment.
Methods of instruction.
Safe practices in classroom activities.
Requirements of maintaining the center in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
Cross-cultural issues.
Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities.
Record-keeping and report preparation techniques.
Oral and written communication skills.
Applicable laws, codes, rules and regulations.
Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
Health and safety regulations.
Principles and practices of training and providing work direction to others.

Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

At least 21 years of age.
CPR certification or willing to obtain it.

Monday to Friday
