This is an exciting opportunity to mentor students, collaborate with faculty, and gain valuable instructional experience while helping shape the next generation of professionals and innovators.As an **Instructional Assistant**, you will play an important role in creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment through hands-on assistance, tutoring, classroom facilitation, and academic support.**This is a face-to-face, part-time opportunity located on GCU’s Main Campus in Phoenix, Arizona.****Why Join GCU?*** Gain valuable teaching and leadership experience* Work alongside experienced faculty mentors* Build professional and academic skills in higher education* Make a meaningful impact on student success* Flexible part-time schedule (up to 10 hours per week)* Collaborative and mission-driven university environment**Minimum Qualifications*** **Completed Bachelor’s degree** from an accredited institution required* Must reside in Arizona and be available to work in person on GCU’s Main Campus* Successfully completed coursework in **Theology, Ministry, or Divinity,**with a grade of B or higher* Strong communication and classroom support skills* Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or instructional support experience preferred**Key Responsibilities*** Partner with faculty to support classroom instruction and student engagement* Assist with lesson preparation, grading, and classroom facilitation* Hold weekly office hours to provide tutoring and academic support* Reinforce course concepts through one-on-one and group assistance* Support classroom management and proctor examinations* Observe and report student progress to faculty* Facilitate review sessions and supplemental instruction opportunities* Help create a collaborative and encouraging learning environment* Uphold and support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University**Additional Information*** Part-time, in-person position* Maximum of 10 hours per week* Schedule may vary based on course assignment and departmental needs* Opportunities available across various engineering and technology disciplines**Join the Lopes Community**At Grand Canyon University, we are committed to helping students find their purpose and achieve their potential.
