Human Resources Generalist
Starting Salary: $55,000-$62,000, commensurate with qualifications and directly related experience. The Human Resources Generalist assists with the planning, coordination, and support of the Human Resources office to promote efficient operations, support District personnel, and advance the vision of the Department of Personnel and Culture in alignment with the District's goals and mission.

- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Bachelor's, preferred
- aPHR, SHRM-CP, or pHCLE certification, preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and/or Google Suite required
- Previous experience with human resources information systems preferred
- Administer assigned personnel policies and processes in accordance with District policies, applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, and other agreements
- Maintain position postings, obtain required administrative approval, and communicate vacancy notices to employees
Support administrators throughout the hiring and onboarding process Review applications and new-hire documentation for completeness and accuracy, including administrator submissions, licensure records, personnel records, official transcripts, and medical forms Prepare and distribute new-hire packets; review and approve employment forms in Frontline; and enter placement and other employee information into applicable systems Coordinate new-employee orientation, background checks, Form I-9 completion, E-Verify processing, and other required pre-employment clearances for employees, contracted personnel, and student teachers Maintain the engagement tracking timeline for early hires and the District Property Checklist for exiting employees Prepare the Board of Education personnel report, including new hires, leaves of absence, resignations, notices of intent to retire, and reassignments Prepare and distribute required confidential personnel information to ACME and CMEA through the personnel report Administer the attendance incentive process and complete the five-year MVOAY and Sex Offender Registry cross-check report Coordinate technology, email, equipment, and identification-card requests for new employees Maintain accurate employee information in Qmlativ and notify applicable departments of changes to employee names, addresses, and telephone numbers Prepare correspondence, frequently asked questions, quick-reference guides, and other Human Resources documents Assist with compiling files and information for legal matters and prepare personnel files for employee review Serve as the department contact for Accurate Biometrics, E-Verify, and DCFS CANTS checks Use and maintain proficiency in applicable systems, including Microsoft Office, Qmlativ, Frontline Central, Frontline Recruiting and Hiring, incidentIQ, SchoolDude, E-Verify, DCFS CANTS, Accurate Biometrics, CHIRP, and Verifent Cross-train with other department employees to ensure continuity and efficiency of operations Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned
The physical demands described below are representative of those associated with performing the essential functions of this position:
- Regularly operates a computer and other standard office equipment, reviews records and documents, and exchanges information with employees, applicants, administrators, and other stakeholders
- Performs work at a workstation for portions of the workday and accesses various areas of the District's central office as needed
- Occasionally travels to other District facilities and work locations for meetings, training, or other job-related responsibilities
- Occasionally positions or moves ordinary office materials, files, or supplies

Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled administrative office environment
The position involves regular use of computers and other office equipment and frequent interaction with employees, applicants, administrators, vendors, and members of the public The work environment generally includes typical office noise, interruptions, and competing priorities. Noise and activity levels may vary when working in schools, attending meetings, or participating in District events The position requires the handling of confidential and sensitive personnel information Occasional work at other District locations or outside regular business hours may be required based on operational needs
