Extrusion OperatorWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with plastics extrusion processes, and experience with various manufacturing tools and equipment. The Extrusion Operator plays a vital role in maintaining product quality and optimizing operational efficiency within our production facility.High school education or GED*** This position will be 12 hour shifts Wed, Thurs, and Fri 6p-6a ***Pay Rate $22.00/HRMinimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have previous extrusion experience. Must maintain a valid driver’s license for operation of a fork-lift. Previous fork-lift experience a plus.Responsibilities:Safely drive fork trucks and actively participate in housekeeping for the work area.Setting up one or two extruders to run a product that is in accordance with standard operating conditions with minimal downtime and loss of product.Monitors and troubleshoots during the extrusion process.If safety or quality issues develop, stops process and actively participates in problem-solving with shift supervisor, maintenance, safety and other operators.Completes product turnarounds, which includes cleaning the extruder barrel and screws, the feeder, the pelletizer, the classifier, the reclaimer system, the automatic bagger, and feed and product totes to prevent product contamination.Maintaining proper records, which includes run logs/sheet, feed blends on the line, amount of product in totes, packaging reports, work orders, logbooks and keeping the on-coming operator informed as to important issues.Review and understanding of the policies and procedures contained in standard operating procedures, hazardous communication and waste disposal procedures.Assume personal responsibility for complying with all safety/health related policies and procedures, participate in company sponsored safety programs and activities, and report to management those conditions or actions by employees or others that might create a hazard to themselves or others in the plant.Join us as we strive for excellence in our production processes, ensuring high-quality products for our customers while fostering a collaborative work environment.
