Responsibilities
- Deliver PTA services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in an LTAC setting.
- Implement prescribed PT plans of care for LTAC patients, including screening for changes that may require PT re-assessment.
- Instruct and assist patients with therapeutic exercises, range of motion, strengthening, gait training, balance activities, transfers, and functional mobility tasks.
- Monitor patient responses to therapy, document progress, and communicate findings to the supervising PT and care team.
- Prepare treatment spaces, select and set up equipment, maintain safety, and ensure patient comfort during sessions.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility aids to support treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and participate in interdisciplinary rounds as appropriate.

Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing or eligibility for licensure per state requirements.
- Experience in an LTAC or skilled nursing care setting preferred.
- Ability to work days on a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours guaranteed.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to follow treatment plans under PT supervision.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of a therapy environment (standing, walking, assisting patients) and maintain professional conduct.
