Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health to develop personalized and effective treatment plans. Implement and track various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs, utilizing evidence-based methodologies. Facilitate regular counseling sessions, both individual and group, offering guidance, coping strategies, and emotional support. Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, when necessary to ensure comprehensive care. Document client interactions and treatment progress accurately in our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain compliance and facilitate seamless care delivery. Participate in regular team meetings to share insights, strategies, and advancements in mental health practices. Engage in community outreach initiatives to enhance awareness and access to mental health services. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with clients facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Our clientele is diverse, encompassing various cultural backgrounds, age groups, and life experiences. This diversity enriches the therapeutic process and presents an opportunity to practice cultural competence in providing mental health services. Qualifications A master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience. A solid understanding of various mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches. Proficiency in utilizing computer applications and EHR systems for documenting treatment and client interactions. Preferred Experience Experience in providing culturally responsive therapy and understanding the unique needs of diverse client populations. Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with poise. Experience in performing group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions amongst clients to foster shared growth and solidarity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills that support rapport building and active listening. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
