Position Highlights Ongoing NP/PA General Surgery opportunity Focus on Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery patients Support four HPB surgeons Primarily inpatient responsibilities Occasional outpatient clinic coverage No call required Multiple providers accepted Level I Trauma Center Stroke-certified hospital Epic EMR system

Clinical Details & Responsibilities Practice Setting: Primarily inpatient Occasional outpatient clinic coverage

Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per shift

Facility Information: 30-bed service Level I Trauma Center Stroke-certified hospital

Clinical Responsibilities: Provide inpatient coverage for the HPB surgical service Manage patients with benign and malignant hepatopancreatobiliary diagnoses Perform admissions and coordinate patient care Conduct daily inpatient rounds Collaborate with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary teams Provide occasional outpatient clinic coverage as needed

Patient Population: Benign HPB disease Malignant HPB disease Complex surgical patients

Support & Technology Support Staff: Three additional APPs supporting the service Four dedicated HPB surgeons Multidisciplinary inpatient care team

EMR System: Epic

Requirements Board Certified Physician Assistant with General Surgery experience - Required Active North Carolina License - Required BLS Certification - Required Experience in General Surgery required HPB, surgical oncology, or complex surgical patient management experience preferred
