Finance Director

Role Overview

Under the direction of the Minneapolis General Manager, this role supports the Minneapolis team and is responsible for accurate reporting of the financial performance of the site. The position partners with subject matter experts from the commercial team and operations to build out management review packs, budgets, and forecasts. It provides leadership across finance, forecasting, planning, analysis, controls, and business partnership to optimize operational and commercial outcomes. The Business Partner offers strategic support to the General Manager, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, supporting decision‑making while ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the site General Manager to provide overall business finance support – act as a tactical & strategic advisor.
• Provide effective leadership to drive business results.
• Ensure the site operates in accordance with TT Group policies and maintain sound financial management and control of the Company’s operations.
• Own the site month‑end financial close, ensuring completion within group deadlines and that HFM is updated appropriately.
• Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all key reconciliations are prepared and reviewed ahead of HFM monthly results submissions.
• Manage the financial outlook, ensuring an accurate forecast and understanding of key drivers of variances; work with operations and the commercial team to understand the root cause of data.
• Provide insightful analysis to support business decisions; understand key contracts and KPIs, analyze variances and support corrective actions as required.
• Lead the preparation of consolidated reports, strategic plans and annual budgets for the business.
• Adopt a business partnership and customer service mindset.
• Display the highest levels of professional integrity, ethics, honesty and personal credibility; do the right thing, especially concerning financial reporting, safety and well‑being.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Education / Experience: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience in DoD, manufacturing, or standard costing a plus.
• Language Ability: Excellent written and verbal communication; strong grammar and proofreading skills.
• Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages.
• Reasoning Ability: Collect data, solve practical problems, interpret instructions, analyze data, identify trends, and transform data to actions; experience in financial due diligence, deal structuring, acquisition integration.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), databases, ERP systems; experience with Epicor and Hyperion financial reporting preferred.
