Marketing Specialist

SEM is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to support our company’s marketing efforts. Responsibilities include writing a range of short-form and long-form content, assisting with trade show logistics, creating emails and social posts, managing SEM’s marketing CRM contacts, and keeping marketing and sales collateral up to date. SEM is looking for a highly organized person who is able to multitask between several projects at one time. The specialist needs to be comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently, and able to communicate with multiple stakeholders. Writing experience is a must. Write blogs, whitepapers/other long-form content, website/media buy articles, infographic content, sales collateral/pitch decks, and email, social, and advertising copy. Assist marketing manager with trade show logistics, including booth packing, shipping coordination, and swag ordering/management Update SEM’s website in WordPress and provide basic reporting metrics Coordinate and build email sends Build organic/paid social posts Manage marketing CRM, including adding/deleting contacts and creating workflows/email nurture sequences Handle basic photography — headshots, simple product shots Required Qualifications Degree in marketing, communications, or related field Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with peers, executives, partners and customers 2-4 years of digital marketing experience, including email and social marketing 2-4 years of writing experience, both long and short form 1-2 years of website backend software experience, WordPress a plus Excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask and work independently Experience with CRM and design software a plus Photography skills a plus Must be able to pass a background check Competitive annual salary based on candidate’s experience 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4% of salary Health insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending account Company sponsored life, short-term and long-term disability Company paid vacation, holiday and sick time Salary Range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year Working at SEM: Founded in 1967, SEM provides high security data destruction equipment to Federal Government Agencies, the US Military and Intelligence Community as well as commercial clients such as hyperscale data centers and other security-focused organizations.As a small privately-owned company, SEM offers a unique work environment that encourages and rewards innovation, drive, self-awareness, and individual contribution.
