Staff Navigation Systems Engineer

Salary: $177,000 - 265,600 per year Requirements:

• We need 12 years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree in a STEM field, or 10 years with a masters degree, or 8 years with a PhD
• We require U.S. citizenship
• You must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• You must be able to work full time onsite in Woodland Hills, California
• We need strong expertise in sensor fusion for navigation systems using IMUs, GPS, barometers, and other sensors
• We require advanced state-estimation experience, including Extended Kalman Filtering, Unscented Kalman Filtering, and Particle Filtering
• We need expertise in INS mechanizations
• We require experience with embedded INS/GPS navigation systems
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with APNT solutions for GPS-denied environments
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with signal selection, acquisition and tracking, PVT calculation, data demodulation, and signal correction
• Preferred qualifications include experience developing algorithms for satellite acquisition, tracking, and receiver measurement formation
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with military navigation modernization, especially M-code signal processing and capabilities
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with tracking loop design and the effects of platform dynamics and environmental or interference conditions
• Preferred qualifications include familiarity with timing and distributed clock algorithms
• Preferred qualifications include expertise in multi-sensor synchronization and calibration
• Preferred qualifications include expertise in noise modeling and covariance tuning
• Preferred qualifications include expertise in state estimation for position, velocity, and attitude determination

• We will have you define and drive the technical roadmap for navigation performance analysis in lab and flight test settings

• We will have you lead a multidisciplinary team of navigation and timing specialists in a high-performing, collaborative environment
