Purrfurably Cats is searching for a skilled veterinarian to lead our feline-exclusive practice in Monterey, California.

Role And Experience


We're searching for an experienced veterinarian to join our team as co-Medical Director. In this role, you will assist Dr. Marcus to ensure the long-term success of Purrfurably Cats. Along with influencing the future of our clinic, you will also build upon our hospital's current strengths, while elevating our services and encouraging new business ideas. Experienced Medical Directors are highly encouraged to apply, however, we're also open to emerging leaders and experienced Associates (5+ years of clinical experience in a feline-only practice).

We're Searching For

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with a California Veterinary license (or eligibility) who is a positive team player, committed to client education and high-quality medicine, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Enthusiastic about leading a practice
• Strong leadership skills and positive outlook
• Love for teaching and a willingness to mentor others
• Fear Free certification is a plus!

An inside look at our Certified Cat Friendly Practice: We were established in 1995 and provide luxurious feline boarding plus full medical, dental, and surgical services. We exclusively work with cats-big cats, small cats, F1 Savannahs, you name it! Our hospital is equipped with digital radiology and in-house lab and with our unique perspective and expertise, we are able to fully recognizes the special needs of our community's cats. Our fun-loving and professional team maintains an enjoyable work environment where we really take the time to get to know our patients and provide them (and their owners) a low-stress veterinary experience.


Qualifications:

• All levels of experience as a veterinarian
• DVM or VMD
• We require a valid California veterinary license and ability to obtain a DEA license
• In addition to high-quality medicine and surgical skills, we are looking for doctors with excellent client communication and customer service skills as well as a dedication to continued education.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. The salary range for this opportunity is $125,000 - $200,000 annually. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
