We are a world leader and shipbuilder of choice, constantly evolving to meet global megatrends in tourism, energy, and defense through innovative and competitive maritime solutions.Position SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing small to mid-sized projects or portions of larger production programs, applying industry best practices and company processes to ensure successful execution. This role manages project planning, scheduling, financial controls, risk and opportunity management, supplier and contractual matters, and program reporting, while supporting the Program Management Team and leading small to medium proposals within budget and schedule requirements.Domestic travel may be required.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with Program Management, senior leadership, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agenciesCollect, prepare, track, and submit contract deliverables (SDRLs) and ensure compliance with contractual requirementsPrepare project status reports, metrics, presentations, and communications for managementSupport development of manufacturing/construction plans and coordinate cross-functional activities related to contract changesMonitor project cost, schedule, and performance, ensuring management controls and contract compliance are maintainedSupport Earned Value Management (EVMS), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reporting, financial forecasting, EACs, funding projections, and margin analysisAssist with contract negotiations, change proposals, and risk identification and mitigation activitiesOther duties as assignedRequired SkillsAbility to work independently and within a cross-functional, matrixed environmentStrong customer service, negotiation, problem-solving, and vendor management skillsKnowledge of FAR/DAR, contracts and subcontracts, WBS, change management, and risk/opportunity managementProficiency in cost, schedule, and program management, including program metrics and Earned Value Management (EVM)Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skillsMust have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skillsMust have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanorMust adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awarenessEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience8 Years of project management, administration, management control, or contract/subcontract experience requiredPMP certification and experience in a shipbuilding or maritime environment preferredCompetenciesFincantieri's core competencies reflect our values and key behavioral expectations for all employees:Open Mindset: Identify and solve problems, embrace change, and seek continuous learningStrategic Leadership: Build trust, unity, and accountability while working toward shared goalsAccomplishment: Take ownership, deliver results, and ensure customer satisfactionSocial Connection: Collaborate, communicate, and value diversity and inclusionPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear.
