Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients presenting with acute medical and surgical needs. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical, behavioral, and psychosocial conditions through observation, interviews, and review of medical records.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans based on patient needs, diagnosis, and presentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols and standards.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing crisis intervention and critical care as required.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and communication.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent emergency nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in managing acute and critical patient conditions.
• Be ACLS, BLS, and PALS certified.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
