Job Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for the management company, including general ledger, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage payroll, bonus accruals, and employee-related expenses in partnership with HR and external providers
• Monitor and track operating expenses, budgets, and forecasts to support financial planning
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits and tax filings
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Support cash management, treasury activities, and capital planning initiatives
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability within the finance function

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Company Accountant should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 2-8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or financial services, ideally within private equity or venture capital
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with management company accounting, including expense allocations and partner compensation structures
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
