Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring cardiac nursing experience and Epic proficiency.Cardiovascular Unit within a hospital setting including Cardiac Cath Lab servicesServes as primary/secondary circulator for diagnostic and interventional cardiology/vascular proceduresAdministers and monitors moderate sedation during proceduresProvides pre/post procedural care, recovery, cardioversions, and loop recorder managementAssists with radiology procedures and related equipment/supplies in a fast-paced environmentSchedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts weekly, 7:00am-5:30pmNo weekend or holiday requirementsRequired to float between Cath Lab and CVUOn-call responsibilities include late call and vascular call with possible flex down due to case volumeEpic EMR experience requiredActive RN license in North Carolina or compact licenseCurrent BLS certification (AHA or ARC)ACLS and NIHSS certification requiredMinimum one year of nursing experience requiredPrevious cardiac experience requiredCath Lab experience with pre and post care highly preferredAcute cardiac experience preferredNursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program requiredBSN or MSN preferredDelivers competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/DirectorCoordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital settingPerforms bedside point of care testing as part of the patient care planCollaborates with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient careAssesses and addresses discharge planning needs and supports patient/family advocacyParticipates in performance improvement activities and unit goal developmentLocal candidates are accepted
