Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position caring for cardiac patients, requiring 2+ years of recent PCU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 14-bed adult medical/cardiac unit treating CHF, post-cath/pacemaker, and COPD patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with 1-2 admissions per day
• Night shift schedule, 7:00pm-7:00am
• 0.9 FTE with 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
• On-call required 1 shift per pay period if census drops
• Weekend coverage required up to 4 weekend shifts if needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• CPI-A certification required
• 2+ years of recent PCU experience with cardiac patients required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct clinical nursing care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
