Back Server

Job Summary The Back Server supports the Front Server team in delivering an elevated and memorable guest experience. This role is responsible for assisting with food delivery, table maintenance, side station organization, and guest support while upholding Spago Maui’s service and hospitality standards. Provide consistently professional, friendly, and attentive service Assist Front Servers throughout all stages of the dining experience Deliver food from the kitchen efficiently, accurately, and with proper presentation Clear, reset, and maintain tables according to fine dining standards Maintain full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, garnishes, and preparation methods Demonstrate working knowledge of beverage menus and current offerings Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and informed manner Ensure side stations are fully stocked, clean, and organized Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned to support restaurant operations Essential Responsibilities Provide consistently professional, friendly, and attentive service Assist Front Servers throughout all stages of the dining experience Deliver food from the kitchen efficiently, accurately, and with proper presentation Clear, reset, and maintain tables according to fine dining standards Maintain full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, garnishes, and preparation methods Demonstrate working knowledge of beverage menus and current offerings Respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and informed manner Ensure side stations are fully stocked, clean, and organized Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Perform additional duties as assigned to support restaurant operations Pay: $14.75 /hour plus tips Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience Minimum of 1 year of fine dining Back Server experience preferred Strong understanding of dining room service standards and flow Ability to stand for extended periods Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational and multitasking skills Professional communication and interpersonal abilities Service-oriented mindset with attention to detail Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and team-focused Polished appearance and positive attitude Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is performed in an indoor restaurant environment with exposure to heat, steam, cleaning chemicals, and moderate to occasionally high noise levels. The role requires standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
