The role requires:

• Current experience with first-level troubleshooting for all monitored devices within a GNOC.
• Updating tickets within the ticketing system.
• Updating monitoring tools with new devices, maps, changes, and removals.
• Following processes to escalate issues to ensure SLA compliance related to monitoring routers, switches, data circuits, servers, and environmental devices.

This is a customer-facing position. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required. The candidate must be process-oriented for escalations and notifications for management. Collaboration with applications & application support teams for CRM, SharePoint, Exchange, Citrix, and web-based applications for outages and service delays is essential. The candidate will also work closely with global service providers for degraded or circuit outages.

Tools used within the NOC include:

• Primary Tool: UIM (NimSoft)
• ASM, Thousand Eyes
• Riverbed Web Analytics

General knowledge and experience with Windows 2003 / 2008 and UNIX-based servers, including starting services, IIS resets, server reboots, Cisco routers, and switches, are a plus.
