Manager Operational ComplianceManager of the NERC Compliance Operational Compliance Group. Overseeing the implementation of NERC regulations that impact PGE Operations. Monitors compliance with relevant laws, regulations and company procedures and policies.Identifies and evaluates risks. Supports the design and implementation of controls and standards. Responds to concerns, resolves issues and advises the business on rules, controls and industry best practices. receives moderate guidance from managerProvides subject matter guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customersKey Responsibilities:Operational Regulatory Compliance Contributes to the overall compliance effort of PGE; provides leadership and representation to other departments relative to operating unit; assures accuracy and overall compliance with regulatory requirements; collaborates with other compliance-related functions to ensure alignment with overall goals and objectives; monitors emerging regulatory and compliance issues and adapts strategy; promotes cross-functional alignment for all compliance-related tasks and initiatives.Regulatory Compliance: Function Management Manages a team of operational compliance professionals responsible for serving as subject matter experts to operational units in their duty to comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal procedures, providing guidance on meeting compliance standards and commenting on proposed regulations or standards; provides technical management for the team, ensuring that objectives are met and all relevant standards/procedures are followed; ensures that operational problems are identified and resolved; ensures that operational procedures and working practices are current and fit for the purpose.Financial Management: Manages team providing legal support; oversees development and implementation of processes and procedures in support of legal activities; oversees administrative matters relating to the Legal team and the delivery of legal services to business partners, including administrative matters pertaining to finances and budgeting, outside counsel and other vendors management and performance, and the legal department's utilization of information technology and manage delivery of continuing legal education for the department.Resourcing: Oversees resourcing decisions and planning for team; partners with HR in the definition of jobs, recruitment, evaluation and selection processes.Professional Development: Reviews organizational development needs and training strategies to determine required learning and development outcomes for the team; provides guidance in the creation of development plans; monitors ongoing progress and provides coaching and mentoring and provides feedback; completes annual performance management reviews.Education/Experience/Certifications:Education Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business, science, IT technical field or other related field or equivalent experience.Experience Prefer eight or more years in combination of compliance and one or more of utility operations, cybersecurity or auditing which includes at least three years of FERC/NERC experience or equivalent.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):Functional Competencies-Expert knowledge of business processes and procedures in operational domain.Advanced knowledge of electric power markets and system operations for providing power to retail consumers.Expert knowledge of NERC/FERC regulations and reliability standards.Advanced knowledge of corporate and operational compliance and risk management principles and protocols.Advanced understanding of NERC and FERC regulatory processes related to the development of NERC Reliability Standards.Intermediate understanding of protection and control equipment and techniques used in power utility substations.Advanced ability to effectively communicate changing ideas and develop corporate consensus when there are competing interests.Basic knowledge of electric utility protection and control systems, substation equipment and communications systems.Advanced skill in driving continuous improvement;
