In this strategic business development role, you will partner with customers to understand their supply chain challenges and design innovative logistics solutions that create measurable value. As a trusted advisor and relationship builder, you will play a critical role in expanding customer partnerships, increasing market share, and driving profitable growth across the United States.This position is ideal for a highly motivated sales and logistics professional who thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment and enjoys developing long-term strategic relationships with key stakeholders.How you create impactDevelop and execute strategic account plans that align customer objectives with Kuehne+Nagel's VinLog value proposition.Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities within assigned accounts and target markets.Lead customer RFQs, tenders, and proposal processes while coordinating internal resources to deliver competitive solutions.Expand the footprint of VinLog solutions by uncovering cross-selling and upselling opportunities.Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while achieving high conversion and closing rates.Conduct regular business reviews with customers to align on strategic priorities, performance, and future growth opportunities.Present innovative logistics solutions and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer value.Collaborate with domestic and international VinLog teams to provide seamless customer representation and support.Leverage Kuehne+Nagel's global network to share best practices, generate sales leads, and strengthen customer relationships.Monitor account performance, including volume, profitability, pipeline activity, and account receivables.Analyze account trends and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and maximize growth opportunities.Facilitate smooth onboarding and handoff of new business to operational teams, ensuring all customer commitments are met.Act as a consultative partner to customers by understanding evolving supply chain needs and recommending tailored solutions.Establish strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support long-term business success.Represent Kuehne+Nagel professionally in the marketplace while promoting innovation, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.What we would like you to bringBachelor's degree required.5+ years of experience in business development, sales, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.Proven ability to develop strategic customer relationships and influence decision-makers at multiple organizational levels.Strong negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and consultative selling skills.Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and active listening skills.Highly organized, results-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with strong attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM/sales management tools.Full professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
