About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Highlights Location: Jefferson Hills, PA Facility: Allegheny Health Network Schedule: Full-time What You’ll Do Assess human responses and plan nursing care for individuals or families. Provide leadership in a professional practice setting. Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels. Supervise, delegate, and evaluate assigned LPN scope of practice as appropriate. Utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans. Analyze health status of individuals and families to determine care needs. Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel. Participate in interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care. Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives. Engage in continuous lifelong learning and professional development. Requirements Education: Current State of PA RN licensure or current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Experience: Preferred certification in area of specialty. Licenses & Certifications: CPR certification required. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
