Location: Glen Mills, PA

Work Setting: 100% onsite, desk-based customer service environment

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Compensation: $25.00–$26.00 per hour

Employment Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Position Summary

A well-established foodservice organization is seeking multiple Customer Service Representatives to join its growing team in Glen Mills, PA.

This is a traditional, desk-based customer service position supporting customers and field sales representatives through a combination of phone, email, order processing, account maintenance, payment support, product questions, and issue resolution. The team is expanding and is looking for customer service professionals who enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and becoming trusted points of contact for repeat customers.

This is not a nonstop call-center environment. Representatives typically handle approximately 25–30 calls per day while also managing emails, orders, account updates, and follow-up work. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending the workday at a computer and on the phone, communicates clearly with a wide variety of personalities, and is genuinely interested in building a longer-term career in customer service.

What You'll Do

• Receive and process customer orders and requests for products, supplies, and related materials

• Answer customer questions regarding products, orders, invoices, statements, account balances, program information, and other service needs

• Resolve shipping issues involving delayed, damaged, missing, or incomplete deliveries and follow concerns through to resolution

• Monitor shared customer service inboxes and respond to customer inquiries accurately and promptly

• Make outbound customer follow-up calls, including new-account outreach and order coordination

• Maintain accurate customer records including contact information, address changes, ownership updates, seasonal schedules, and account status

• Support accounts receivable activities by reviewing past-due balances, accepting card or ACH payments, following up on declined payments, and helping resolve account disputes

• Coordinate with field sales representatives and internal sales teams on orders, account openings, fulfillment, and customer information

• Identify opportunities for additional products or services and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales resource

• Document customer conversations, activity, and follow-up within the CRM

• Build positive relationships with repeat customers and become a reliable resource for their ongoing needs

What You Bring

• Approximately 2+ years of relevant customer service experience

• Experience in a desk-based customer service position involving regular phone, email, and computer work

• Comfort handling both inbound customer inquiries and outbound follow-up

• Ability to remain calm and professional when working with frustrated, energetic, or demanding customers

• Strong verbal communication and professional written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving ability

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word

• Comfort learning and working within CRM, order-management, or customer-service systems

• Ability to manage phone calls while staying current on emails, data entry, and account follow-up

• Team-oriented, dependable, coachable approach

• Ability to work onsite in Glen Mills five days per week for the full assigned schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience within foodservice, hospitality, manufacturing, restaurants, hotels, distribution, or another service-oriented environment

• Food and beverage industry experience

• Experience managing a combination of inbound calls, outbound calls, shared email queues, order entry, and customer-account maintenance

• Experience with Microsoft CRM or a comparable customer relationship management platform

• Experience accepting payments or supporting accounts receivable activities

• Familiarity with customer service metrics or performance reporting

• Experience supporting both customers and field-based sales representatives

• High-energy personality balanced with patience, composure, and strong listening skills
