Accounting Manager
Our employer client is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations and drive process improvements. This is a hybrid role (in-office a few days per week) reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing a small, collaborative accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead payroll, A/P, A/R, GL integrity, and financial reporting
- Oversee audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Drive financial process improvements and documentation
Ideal Background:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years managing federal grants (2 CFR 200 / Uniform Guidance)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit preparation
- Proven leadership experience and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, data tools)
- Nonprofit or GovCon experience is a plus
- Familiarity with MIP (Abila) is a bonus.
