The Salvation Army In Las Vegas is looking to fill a Cook position. The successful candidate for this position will be someone with experience or training as a line cook and have the ability to work varying hours. The Cook will maintain the standards set by the Executive Chef. They will maintain production schedules to insure both timely service and quality of product. This position will observe and implement all approved sanitation practices. This position will oversee that deliveries from purveyors coincide with the purchase order. The Dining Room Cook will report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions in the kitchen or dining room. QUALIFICATIONS High School graduate or equivalent Ability to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays. Posses or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Permit Two years of experience as a line cook or equivalent formal training. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
