Operations Lead

Salary: $108,000 - 148,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in business, operations, engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or field services.
• Demonstrated success leading teams.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements in regulated industries such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, telematics and maintenance platforms such as Samsara, and documentation tools such as Notion or Obsidian is preferred.

• Establish, refine, and elevate the daily operational cadence, such as operations meetings, production meetings, and morning rallies, to support communication, accountability, and follow-through.
• Address issues as they arise, identify underlying process or structural gaps, and partner with the General Manager to develop source-level solutions.
• Coordinate the system that supports end-to-end readiness across scheduling, supply, vehicles, equipment, facilities, and field crew deployment.
• Collaborate with department managers to strengthen repeatable practices, SOPs, and accountability structures.
• Proactively review how work moves across the operation and drive changes before performance issues surface.
• Embed compliance with federal, state, and company requirements into daily operating procedures.
• Support job safety execution, identify improvements to safety processes, and partner with the Safety & Training Manager on rollout.
• Anticipate regulatory and industry changes and translate them into practical, workable operating procedures.
• Execute programs and initiatives designed by the General Manager to advance the three-year operational plan.
• Lead large-scale change management across technical systems and people using a small, frequent, validated change approach.
• Step into tactical work where systems are still being built and use that hands-on experience to inform system design.
• Apply technical competence in computer-based work, including AI-enabled operational tools.
• Use data to investigate issues, pinpoint root causes, and drive improvements in efficiency, reliability, and service delivery.
• Support planning for crew readiness, procurement, and equipment in partnership with HR, the Safety & Training Manager, and the FFW Manager.
