Make a meaningful impact by supporting medically fragile students in a vibrant educational environment. This contract opportunity for a skilled Physical Therapist offers the chance to provide direct therapy services at the middle and high school levels near North Salem, NY. This assignment focuses on two students, each requiring three 30-minute sessions per week, starting October 1, 2026, and continuing throughout the school year.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Recent experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle and high school-aged students
- Comfort and expertise supporting medically fragile students
- Commitment to person-centered, compassionate care
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Ability to document progress and adapt therapy plans to unique student needs
- Reliable transportation for consistent on-site presence
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to two students, three times per week for each
- Evaluate and monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Implement IEP goals and participate in meetings when required
- Coordinate care with teachers, staff, and families for optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that prioritizes student safety and dignity
