Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate for the Tax Controversy practice in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in handling complex tax disputes, including corporate, partnership, transfer pricing, international tax, SALT, and criminal tax matters. Duties Advise clients on complex tax issues at all stages of tax controversy matters. Identify and manage potential tax controversies in transactions. Collaborate with government agencies to minimize and resolve disputes. Participate in litigation and team with appellate practice for tax appeal victories. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex tax disputes. Experience with corporate, partnership, and international tax issues. Familiarity with state and local tax (SALT) matters. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in the jurisdiction of practice. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
