Are you looking to grow your career in manufacturing and machining? Our local client is seeking a CNC Machinist Apprentice Operator to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Position Summary

The primary function of the Machinist Apprentice Operator is to load and unload parts from CNC machines while ensuring all parts meet drawing specifications and manufacturing inspection requirements. The top priority is maintaining production by keeping machines running efficiently and producing quality parts.

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts in and out of CNC machines
• Keep assigned CNC machines operating efficiently to maximize production
• Ensure parts meet drawing specifications and Manufacturing Inspection Plans (MIP)
• Perform inspections using proper measuring tools, methods, and procedures
• Accurately document inspection results on MIP paperwork
• Communicate effectively with shift leads, managers, and the operator on the opposite shift to ensure smooth production handoff
• Identify, tag, and document nonconforming parts according to AS9100 procedures and work instructions
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in CNC machining
• Ability to use inspection and measuring tools accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Manufacturing or CNC experience is a plus, but training may be provided

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and move materials throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
