Contract Recruiter

Length: 6+ Month Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to support the growth of teams developing next-generation robotics powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. The ideal candidate has a strong track record recruiting AI, machine learning, robotics, and software engineering professionals in highly competitive markets. This is a high-impact opportunity for a recruiter who thrives in fast-paced, startup-oriented environments and can identify exceptional technical talent while partnering closely with engineering leadership to build high-performing teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from intake through offer acceptance. Partner with engineering leadership to understand hiring priorities and develop recruiting strategies. Source and recruit passive candidates across AI/ML, robotics, computer vision, software engineering, infrastructure, platform engineering, and research. Build diverse candidate pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, Boolean searches, and creative sourcing strategies. Conduct recruiter screens and assess technical backgrounds, motivation, and overall alignment. Coordinate interviews and maintain clear, timely communication with candidates throughout the process. Provide hiring managers with market intelligence, compensation trends, and candidate feedback. Maintain accurate recruiting activity and candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System. Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. Support improvements to recruiting processes, interview practices, and employer branding initiatives. Manage multiple high-priority requisitions simultaneously while maintaining strong organization and follow-through. Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience. Significant recent experience recruiting for artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, robotics, computer vision, software engineering, and infrastructure or platform engineering roles. Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates in highly competitive technical markets. Experience supporting venture-backed startups or rapidly growing technology organizations. Strong Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing expertise. Experience partnering directly with Engineering Directors, Vice Presidents, and technical founders. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience recruiting Research Scientists or Applied Scientists. Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, perception, controls, reinforcement learning, or large language models (LLMs). Experience with Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, or other modern ATS platforms.
