About This Role Probst Electric, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our Caldwell, Idaho finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports day‑to‑day accounting operations, including month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s financial operations while being part of a growing, high‑performing team What You’ll Do Perform general ledger and cost accounting functions in support of construction operations Reconcile bank accounts and other general ledger accounts—collaborate with departments to resolve discrepancies Support preparation and filing of required federal, state, and local tax forms Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentationMaintain compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and cross‑departmental workflow Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and cross‑departmental workflow What You’ll Bring Degree in Accounting or a related field Experience with JD Edwards is preferable, but not required Prior construction industry accounting experience preferred, but not required Experience supporting month‑end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office, with the ability to analyze and manage financial data Ability to pass required drug and background screening What You’ll Get At Probst Electric Inc., a proud subsidiary of Quanta Services (NYSE: PWR), you’ll join a team that takes pride in delivering high‑voltage transmission construction, design‑build solutions, and maintenance services for public and private utilities.
