Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room, San Luis Obispo, California, United States. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a Short-Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay range: $530-$549 per week; Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 16-hour days. This perioperative role supports surgeons and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced surgical suite while maintaining patient safety throughout the perioperative phase.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room during surgical procedures, assisting surgeons and the anesthesia team
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and maintaining proper sterile technique
- Coordinate flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure efficient procedure progress
- Conduct pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment within established Surgery Department criteria
- Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials from operative procedures
- Access and utilize facility information systems to retrieve pertinent patient care information as needed

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of operating room experience; ortho, neuro, and trauma experience required
- Ability to work in an Operating Room environment and to perform perioperative care duties per unit standards
