Neonatologist - Practice Medical Director

Pediatrix is seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to join their growing team at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. This established practice offers a collaborative environment with three neonatologists and two NNPs, providing high-quality care in a Level IIIA NICU. The role involves a balanced coverage model and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive network.

• Established practice includes three neonatologists and two NNPs
• 8-bed Level IIIA NICU with an active newborn service
• 1,800 annual deliveries and increasing
• Future expansion: a new 47,000 sq. ft. BirthPlace, including a relocated NICU with 13 single-occupancy NICU beds
• Part of Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the largest neonatology service providers in the Mid-Atlantic region

Responsibilities

• Provide prenatal consultations
• Cover NICU and newborn services
• Attend deliveries
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives (optional)
• Take on administrative roles (optional)
• Engage in regional collaboration (optional)

Requirements

• Board-Certified Neonatologist
