Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for PCU Nursing Floater!

- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7p-7a)
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nursing Float
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS (WA or Compact License)

- Key Features:
- Dynamic, fast-paced environment with high patient turnover.
- Work with a cohesive team that values travelers as integral members.
- Enjoy a 48-hour weekly guarantee for shorter assignments (6-8 weeks).
- Opportunities for floating to different floors (4th, 5th, or 6th) for PCU patients.

- Patient Population:
- CVA/TIA (Stroke)
- STEMI/NSTEMI (Heart Attack)
- Chest Pain Rule Out MI
- Acute and Chronic CHF
- Renal Failure
- Respiratory Failure/Distress
- DKA/HHNK
- PE/DVT
- Atrial Fibrillation
- Pre/Post Cardiac Procedures

- Support Services Available:
- RRT RN 24/7
- Pharmacy 24/7
- RT 24/7
- IV Team available from 11:00 - 23:00

- Additional Notes:
- Floating to Med-Surg/Tele and PCU floors is required.
- Floor specific orientation provided (12 hours on policy/procedure and 12 hours with preceptor).
- Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus but not required.
- Must be flexible with weekend and holiday requirements based on unit needs.
