Pharmacy Operations Manager

Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Leader Location: Greater Tampa Area A rapidly growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced pharmacy operations leader to oversee day-to-day pharmacy functions within a fast-paced, highly operational environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing workflow processes, supporting operational scalability, and leading pharmacy personnel within a production-focused setting. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure operational efficiency, quality standards, and regulatory compliance Supervise and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and operational personnel Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures and workflow processes Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and internal quality requirements Participate in regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance-related activities Monitor operational productivity metrics and recommend process improvements as needed Review operational documentation and ensure accuracy of records and reporting Partner cross-functionally with operations, compliance, training, and leadership teams to support organizational objectives Support staffing, workflow planning, and operational scalability initiatives Promote a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and continuous improvement Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in good standing Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain additional licenses preferred Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience across multiple practice settings Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, operational compliance, and quality standards Experience within specialty pharmacy, infusion, fulfillment, mail-order, compounding, or production pharmacy environments strongly preferred Experience with SOP development, workflow optimization, and operational process improvement highly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving operational needs Preferred Backgrounds Specialty pharmacy operations Infusion pharmacy Fulfillment/distribution pharmacy Mail-order pharmacy Sterile compounding or production-focused environments Regulatory/compliance-heavy operational settings
