Senior Hardware Test EngineerBiamp Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Test Engineer for a full-time role. Responsibilities include designing production tests, developing test fixtures, and working with flying probe technology to ensure quality and performance in digital signal processing products. Ideal candidates will be proactive and motivated, with strong expertise in hardware testing in a production environment.How You'll ContributeDesign, document, and implement tests for new products in collaboration with design engineers and manufacturing.Develop PCBA and end of line test plansDevelop and debug tests on a flying probe test platformDesign and implement test automation software to control Biamp products, standard and custom test instruments (Audio Precision Analyzers and custom-built electronic fixtures)Design mechanical and electrical test fixturesConfigure Windows-based test platforms and PC hardwareMaintain current test fixtures and softwareSeek out and implement more efficient and innovative testing strategies that reduce test time while improving test coverage for the range of current Biamp productsServe as the first responder to test technicians' questions, suggestions, and problemsSuggest product changes to Design Engineering to improve product quality, and testabilityMentor junior Test EngineersYou'll also support with:Analyzing systems, writing end of the line system test plansAnalyzing and resolving hardware test issuesProviding training to factory workers on testing and debugging productsPreparing and submitting progress reportsOther duties as assigned by your supervisorA Successful Candidate Should Have:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical and Computer Science Engineering is a plus)Experience designing and debugging tests on a flying probe test platform a must5 Plus Years of experience in a Test engineering position role, ideally with a strong background in designing and implementing production tests for advanced electronicsUnderstanding of audio quality signal test methods a mustUnderstanding of audio network protocols like AVB and Dante a plusUnderstanding and experience with JTAG boundary-scan testingKnowledge of communication protocols including serial, I2C, SPI, EthernetExperience with programming or scripting languages like C#, LabView, C++,.NET, and PythonExperience programming windows applications for test automation on a Windows platformExperience with mixed signal circuit design and testPossesses excellent verbal and written skills in EnglishDemonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and can work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methodsAble to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentMentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support, skill development, and promoting best practicesWork Environment:Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodicallyStand or sit for long periodsPerform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bendingWork in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levelsUse tools that require fine hand skillsVisually, observe and differentiate small moving partsAbility to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areasWhat We Offer:Medical, Dental, and Vision3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays401(k) + matchingEmployer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disabilityHealth savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accountsTuition reimbursementCharitable donation matchingDiscretionary company achievement bonusReferral bonusesAbout Our Company:We make the world's most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
