Dartmouth Health's Department of Radiology is seeking a Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Radiologist to join our practice in the beautiful Upper Valleyregion of New Hampshire and Vermont. Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the system's central clinical hub and Academic Medical Center, is located immediately adjacent to bustling college town of Hanover, NH. Hanover is home to the world-renowned Dartmouth College and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.


Dartmouth Health Radiology is home to a world-class cardiothoracic imaging section focused on delivering efficient, productive, and cutting-edge clinical care; a robust and growing educational program for students, residents, and fellows; and scholarly activity focused on collaboration with others inside and outside the Department. Faculty at Dartmouth Health serve as Assistant, Associate, or full Professors at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Faculty have access to the academic and cultural resources of the health system, the College, and the school.

Position Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic or Thoracic Radiologist to join the CardiothoracicImaging division at the level of an Assistant, Associate, or (Full) Professor, depending on the level of experience. All candidates who have an interest in teaching and being in an academic environment, including candidates with little direct personal academic experience, are welcomed to apply. The ideal candidate will have a record of aspiring towards clinical excellence.


The candidate being sought will participate in the delivery of cutting-edge Cardiothoracic or Thoracic-onlyImaging including chest CT, chest radiography, and some volume of chest MR. For individuals with training and/or experience in cardiac imaging, the division also performs Cardiac MR and Coronary CTA.

Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. The Department is a national leader in the science of teaching radiology to medical students. All faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. There is a strong desire to continue to expand our educational offerings.

The Department and Dartmouth Health

The selected candidate will join Dartmouth Health's 60 radiologists. We are an internationally known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. Since then, we have continued an upward trajectory growing in breadth and depth and expanding our services across New England.


While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the system's Academic Medical Center. DHMC is the state's only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services.

Benefits:

• For a 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent position, the annual salary range is $578,000 to $606,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Fellowship-trained or relevant experience with a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging
• Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont
• The ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience. Experience or interest in having a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence and teaching skill preferred.
