We are assembling a dedicated group of Travel Hospice Registered Nurses to deliver their clinical skills to hospice teams throughout our organization. In this position, you will engage in areas where your expertise is most beneficial—supporting patients, enhancing local teams, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding care.

This role transcends traditional bedside travel nursing. You will provide care in the comfort of patients' homes while exploring various communities, teams, and markets.

Your Responsibilities

As a Hospice Travel RN, you will be deployed to our hospice branches based on staffing and operational requirements, including times of growth, vacancies, acquisitions, onboarding, and urgent staffing needs. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering skilled nursing care to hospice patients.
• Conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized care plans.
• Managing patient caseloads and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Facilitating recovery and independence for Home Health patients, as well as comfort-focused end-of-life care for hospice patients.
• Quickly adapting to new teams, workflows, and patient demographics.
• Assisting in stabilizing branch operations and promoting consistent clinical practices and patient experiences across different markets.
• Completing timely and accurate clinical documentation while adhering to regulatory and quality standards.
• Participating in on-call duties as assigned.

What We Seek

This position is perfect for an experienced clinician who is flexible, self-assured, independent, and ready to respond to the areas of greatest need.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Active Compact RN License (NLC) or the willingness to obtain Compact Licensure within the specified timeframe.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in hospice nursing.
• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Willingness to travel extensively based on business needs—anticipated travel of 75% or more , depending on assignment.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Experience in supporting multiple branches, markets, acquisitions, or startup environments is a plus.
• BSN and/or CHPN certification is preferred.

What to Anticipate

Assignments will vary according to organizational needs and may involve local, regional, and interstate travel. Overnight travel will often be necessary, and some assignments may require weekend or on-call support. You may also alternate between Home Health and Hospice assignments based on business requirements and your clinical skills.
