HR Intern

Eaton's Electrical sector has an opening for an HR Intern to be based at our El Paso, TX site. The HR Intern provides administrative and coordination support to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams. This role helps ensure smooth HR operations by directing employee inquiries to the appropriate resources, supporting recruitment activities, assisting with onboarding tasks, and maintaining organized employee documentation. This position does not have access to the HRIS/HRDA system but will support HR processes through approved administrative tasks and special projects assigned by the HR team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Support & HR Coordination
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee walk ins and inquiries.
  • Guide employees to the correct HR resource, team member, or process based on their needs.
  • Provide general HR administrative support as directed by the HR team.
• Document Management
  • Scan, organize, and upload documents into employee digital files following established protocols.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive information.
  • Assist with file audits and document clean up projects as needed.
• Talent Acquisition Support
  • Assist with managing open requisitions, including tracking status updates and communicating progress to the TA team.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate logistics between candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters.
  • Prepare interview materials and ensure timely communication with candidates when requested.
  • Provide feedback and updates to the Talent Acquisition team regarding scheduling, candidate flow, and process needs.
• Onboarding Assistance
  • Support new hire preparation, including assembling onboarding materials and coordinating first day logistics.
  • Assist with new hire check ins, orientation setup, and ensuring a smooth first day experience.
  • Communicate with internal departments to ensure new hires have the necessary resources.
• Special Projects
  • Participate in and support HR related special projects assigned by the HR team.
  • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution to improve HR processes and employee experience.
• General HR Support
  • Assist with HR events, initiatives, and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming HR environment for employees and visitors.
  • Uphold all company policies, confidentiality standards, and HR best practices.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution
• Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8

• Relocation is not provided for this role. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous HR Support experience
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word)
