Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, that includes an externship in a medical office clinical setting, required. Curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. (Certificate must be obtained within six months of hire). Certifications accepted: CMA – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CCMA – National Health career Association (NHA) RMA – American Medical Technologists (AMT) RMA – American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) RMA - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) RMA - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Experience: Previous work in a medical setting preferred. Licensure/certification/registration: CMA, CCMA, RMA. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Annual UAP agreement with provider required.
