Surgical Technologist, Main OR, Baptist Nassau

Up to a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus, if hired!! Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Nassau. This is a Full-Time Days position working 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. A Surgical Technologist plays a hands‑on role in the operating room, directly supporting surgeons, nurses, and patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Each day requires focus, precision, and teamwork in a fast‑paced clinical environment. Responsibilities & Qualifications Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly. Proper disposition of specimens and instruments. Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety. Call is required for this position. Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program. Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred (NBSTA or NCCT), but not required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Required. Education & Credential Requirements Associate’s degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education. Education Required High School Education Preferred AS Experience Relevant equivalent experience in lieu of education. Surgical Technology Experience. Surgical Technologist Experience. Surgical Services Experience. Completion of Program. Experience in Open Heart Procedures. Experience in Neuro. Related Experience. License and Certification Driver's License - DMV.
