This position is based at Adapt of Missouri, a subsidiary of Compass Health Network. Key Responsibilities Build trusting relationships with clients through outreach, engagement, and shared lived experience in recovery. Collaborate with clients to develop and support individualized recovery and wellness goals that promote self-determination and independence. Provide peer-based support, encouragement, and education to help clients access needed services such as mental health care, housing, financial assistance, and community resources. Accompany clients to appointments and assist with connecting to healthcare, social services, and recovery supports. Engage families and support networks in the recovery process when appropriate. Promote medication adherence, self-care, and wellness through education and collaborative problem-solving. Serve as a role model of recovery, resilience, and hope, encouraging client empowerment and progress toward personal goals. Partner with Community Support Specialists and other team members to share updates, coordinate care, and ensure safety and continuity of services. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and meet outreach and service expectations in accordance with agency standards. Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified) Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High School/GED required

WORK EXPERIENCE

Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health, substance use, or co-occurring disorder services Must complete a state-approved training program, pass a standardized examination, complete certification process within 60 days of hire date, and maintain ongoing certification as a Certified Peer Specialist through the MCB (MO). Required only when applicable.
