The Consultant will work with the project team(s) to provide overall leadership and task coordination as well as direct responsibility for the deliverables and work products produced by the team(s). These deliverables and work products will be completed in accordance with our overall strategy, approach, and methodology.*Must be based in ArizonaRequired DutiesProvides project management and technical expertise on large-scale IT projectsOversee development of all deliverables, status reports and other work productsPlan and oversee all project work and develop/manage any potential organizational change management strategies or processes that might be neededProvide technical oversight of applicable vendor and/or client processes, methodologies, and tools to minimize risk and validate the applicable requirements, standards and best practices are being followed on the project.Perform technical reviews and assessments of vendor and/or client tasks, deliverables, and work products, including providing recommendations for risk mitigation and acceptance.Support the goals and outcomes of the project stakeholdersDevelop, manage, and update Project Plan and other project documents (e.g., Communication Plan, Risk Plan, Stakeholder Register, Resource Plan)Support the client and stakeholders in the planning and strategy discussions on the best approach for addressing risks and issues as they occur, in an effort to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.Understand various software development life cycle methodologies and how they are usedParticipate in business development activities and assist with proposal developmentProvide management oversight of project budgetManage communications with clients, vendors, and project stakeholdersWillingness to learn IV&VOther Potential Duties:Perform IV&V tasks & develop IV&V reportsManage and track the IV&V findings (risk and issue) logPlay a support lead analyst role in the development of multiple IV&V deliverables.Mandatory Qualifications:Must be based in Arizona5+ years of overall IT industry experience5+ years of prior project management experience using both Agile and Waterfall techniques in IT related projects to include operations, infrastructure, and application development projectsStrong Microsoft Office applications skills, especially MS ProjectAbility to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level.Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients.Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to various audiences.Preferred Qualifications:Arizona state agency experienceActive Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationExperience in State Healthcare, Labor, and Child Support domains.Experience with risk management and mitigationExperience with IV&VActive Certified Scrum Master (CSM) CertificationOrganizational Change Management experienceAbility to understand both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.Education:Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferredThis position is hybrid with travel/onsite requirements.
