Computed Tomography/X-Ray Technologist

This position primarily requires CT skills, but X-ray experience is also necessary. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking. Initiative is required to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. Independent responsibilities may be assigned by the Lead Technologist or other managerial staff. Proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies is essential. May have supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as determined by management. Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats are required. Practice infection control in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Show ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications. Complete annual mandatory education, including bloodborne pathogens and infection control. Maintain departmental competencies as required. Technologist will perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections. Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of submission. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Late requests may lead to rescinded offers. Travelers must be willing to consider other duties during low census. Travelers must have their own vehicle.
