Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and monitoring throughout the childbirth process and immediate postpartum period. Responsibilities:
- Administer labor and delivery nursing care following established protocols.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs using fetal monitoring equipment.
- Assist physicians with deliveries, including C-sections and newborn procedures.
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and newborn procedures.
- Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (Meditech, CPN).
- Respond to on-call situations promptly, providing necessary support and care.
- Active RN license with minimum 2 years of clinical experience.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery, nursery, or postpartum units.
- Certifications: ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and CEFM or Awhonn fetal monitoring.
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend schedule.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
