CLINIC FLOAT NURSE

Clinic Float Staff Nurse

Mississippi Sports Medicine is hiring a clinic float staff nurse. This position will provide high-quality care to patients seen within the clinic. The clinic float nurse is responsible for floating to assigned physician clinics when the groups are short-staffed.

Experience / Educational Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

Certification / License Requirements:

Must possess a valid Mississippi nursing license

Experience:

One-year clinical experience preferred

Essential Functions:

• Full-time position: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm
• Maintains competency in multiple orthopedic sub-specialty areas
• Assists groups, within the clinics, as needed
• Prepares medicines according to physician request
• Performs dressing changes and staple/suture removal
• Records appropriate clinical notes and maintains patients records
• Schedule and pre-certify patient surgeries and procedures
• Effectively communicate with patients

Education:

Preferred Associates or better in Nursing.

Bachelors or better in Nursing.

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred RN Bachelor's Degree

Preferred RN Associate Degree
