Physical Therapist Outpatient

Job Summary:

The Therapy/Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (PT) in an outpatient setting is responsible for providing skilled physical therapy services across multiple care environments including outpatient, acute care, and long-term care/skilled nursing facilities. The role involves evaluating, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs to improve patient mobility and function. The PT collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. A minimum of one year of relevant experience and current BLS certification are required. Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide physical therapy interventions in outpatient, acute care, and long-term care settings.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals and home exercise programs.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of one year experience in outpatient, acute care, or long-term care/skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills.
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with block scheduling and flexible shift accommodations.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols across diverse patient populations.

Special Considerations:

• No on-call requirements.
• Clinician will not float outside of scope to meet facility needs.
• Housing provided for travelers with restrictions on pets and additional occupants.
• Travelers must be separated by at least three months from prior permanent staff assignments at the facility.
• Time off is approved individually upon offer.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule options include 5 days of 8-hour shifts or 4 days of 10-hour shifts during daytime hours.
• Guaranteed 72 hours per two-week period, with possible call-off for one 8-hour shift every two weeks.
• Open to accommodating block schedules.
