Job Summary

Leads a major business segment with full accountability for growth, profitability, operational excellence, customer success, and organizational performance. Drives sustainable revenue growth, builds high-performing leadership teams, and ensures exceptional service delivery across a complex, multi-site operation. Executes and helps shape business strategy. Partners with customers, employees, and senior leaders to deliver results, strengthen competitive advantage, and position the business for long-term success. Represents the company in a professional and positive manner, safeguarding our reputation, while demonstrating a focus on the safety of others by following and enforcing established safety policies, procedures and practices including Code of Conduct and Code of Business Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Executes strategies to attain short- and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals.
\n
• Oversees consistent execution of operational processes to meet business needs, produce sustainable growth, and minimize risk.
\n
• Evaluates operational performance results against organizational goals and standards; takes appropriate action to correct course, as necessary.
\n
• Communicates a compelling long-range business vision that aligns leadership teams around corporate strategy, growth, market position, operational excellence, and customer value.
\n
• Develops and manages operating budgets, including resource allocation.
\n
• Maintains a cadence of communicating with customers to ensure client satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal, including ongoing price increases.
\n
• Drives retention and growth among the most valuable customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed.
\n
• Fosters relationships with existing accounts and identifies business opportunities to upsell and cross-sell all Marsden business line services/products to current and new businesses.
\n
• Demonstrates and applies detailed knowledge of services offered and ensures that services consistently meet customer needs.
\n
• Leads business reviews that provide transparency into operational results, risk, and strategic opportunities.
\n
• Participate actively in the Governance Council, with peers and the C-suite, by providing meaningful insight and perspectives on company-wide strategies and initiatives.
\n
• Builds scalable operating capabilities and employs organizational processes required to support profitable growth and enterprise performance.
\n
• Represents the organization with key customers, industry partners, community stakeholders, and other external constituencies to strengthen relationships and enhance brand reputation.
\n
• Drives execution of administrative, operational, and compliance processes with discipline, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality.
\n
• Safeguards sensitive customer, employee, and company information, demonstrating integrity and respect for confidentiality.
\n
• Leads a team, setting clear expectations, developing talent, recognizing contributions, and fostering an inclusive, respectful environment.

• Assesses and manages individual and team performance, holding self and others accountable to high standards and business outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities

• Pursues relationships with potential new accounts to identify opportunities and drive incremental growth.
\n
• Leads development and execution of annual business plans, with guidance from the CFO, aligning resources, priorities, and investments with long-term organizational objectives.
\n
• Audits operations to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
\n
• Partners with Sales on strategic and aligned responses to quotes and proposals.
\n
• Advises internal teams on product and service improvements/suggestions based on client feedback. • Ensures appropriate administrative and operational controls are maintained to support business performance, compliance, and accountability.
\n
• Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, and manages employees, in accordance with company guidelines and processes, to build and maintain a high-performing team.
\n
• Owns talent succession and development, in partnership with Human Resources, to ensure bench strength equipped to meet business needs.
\n
• Communicates and ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, and addresses non-compliance in a timely and professional manner.
\n

Qualifications

Education

\n
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial janitorial, facilities services, or similar service-based/multi-site management.
\n
• Demonstrated experience leading a business unit, operating company, or significant regional operation with responsibility for overall business performance. Experience managing and leading a distributed field front-line workforce is highly preferred.
\n

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and business systems as required.

Physical Requirements
