SPED Paraprofessional: Empower Students & Support Classrooms

ESS Permanent SPED Paraprofessional Location: Rock Spring, GA – Catoosa County (NWGA RESA). Pay: $15.00 / hour. An ESS permanent SPED paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher to provide extra support to students with special needs, promoting maximum academic and personal growth. Responsibilities include supplementing the regular classroom curriculum and helping individual students. Responsibilities Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials Supervise students in cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and during before/after school programs Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs Support students with special needs following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans Perform other duties as directed by classroom teacher and school administration Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED State/FBI Criminal History Clearance Drug Screen – varies by district EEO Statement ESS is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
